More WOW Letters!

Just wanted to let you know my husband and I are in the Australian and American Goldwing Association, and at one time the people who run the show here in the states had asked for an opinion on the "w" hand shape sign to be used while riding our trusted steads, so that we would know who was in the Goldwing association, while riding the highways of life, and the roads!  If we held up a "w" that meant we were in the association, but unfortunately not many people used the sign!  It is no longer in practice.  As a person who loves to use sign language to deaf people and interpret for them, it really helps to know that you can make this world a better place.  I can sign in the ASL language and in the Australian language which are very different. Therefore that is my e-mail address luv2sign@webtv.net.  keep up the good work, and make this crazy world a better place by doing anything we can.

love always Ally.

I would like to add my name to the WOW list and wish the World well. This is a great site for people with lots of love in their hearts. Lets join together for peace.

Nice to hear of someone with a positive thought in this day and age. I wish you only well. I think that is a good thing to get going in today's time. It has only been in the last month that I have felt myself worth being wished only well. I don't know what changed me, other than me, but I am glad. I am a much more positive person than I used to be. This website is uplifting. I got it from Sylvia Browne's website. Glad I did. I wish you only well, and that is a really healing statement. Strong and True.

Thanks, and WOW!

I don't normally bother writing to strangers on the internet, but I just have to tell you how much you stories touched me.

I am 24, vegetarian, single and living life as I choose. I'm not religious, but I have the greatest respect for anyone with that much faith.

I think life is for having fun, enjoying yourself, doing whatever makes you and those close to you happy. If everyone lived by the motto "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" the world would be a much, much better place.

When I was younger I used to get depressed about the horrific things happening in the world - slaughtering live animals, people dying, blah blah - watching the news would bring me to tears. I decided I was going to ignore the terrible things happening around me. My friends told me I would end up hard-hearted and uncaring. Since then I've learnt to deal with the things that distress me by doing "my bit" - I think I have found the balance.

I love your 'turn your light on story'. If you're down, I think the best things to lift your day are - for a stranger (especially a good looking male one) to give you a genuine smile - to do something that cheers someone else

Keep on WOWing, the world could do with more people like you!

Hello Carmen

I just accidentally stumbled across your site by searching the miningco. site for panic disorders and was happy to find your oasis. First off I am sorry for the pain and abuse you suffered at the hands of your ex-husband. You have had a lot of pain and yet you used to it help people. That amazes me and touches my heart. I have to be honest if you had cursed out your ex or slugged him I would have cheered you on and said right on you did right. But in my heart I know what you did took greater courage and self restraint something that's difficult for most people. I thank God for good people like you that provide a light in this spiritually desolate world. You showed Christian love even for a person who by any standards didn't deserve anything but the opposite: scorn humiliation and maybe a nice cursing. I wish I had that type of self control and love of people. Carmen I have been suffering from panic attacks for several years and they have left me in a insolated state. I guess the word is agoraphobic well I wish I could be free of these bonds that I guess I inflicted on myself. Carmen there is a verse in Rom.8v28 "all things work together for good for those who love him. And another one that has been on my mind lately in 2 Cor.1 the verse escapes me. Paul's words paraphrased were that through all his afflictions that he suffered that the Lord was with him and he used these sufferings to help others.' Carmen I think through the pain you went through made you able to develop your talents to help others. It's amazing sometimes from pain can come some point of light. I am sorry to have been a burden or been impolite to you. I thank you very much for your site and kindness in helping others.

Also, do you think it's possible that you can have a section on  your web page for people who wish to become pen pals. Sort of a bridge across the internet and the world. Well take care and God bless you for the great site and may the always be gracious to you and to your loved ones.

Hey Carmen,

Thank you so much for sharing a part of yourself with all of us.  You are beautiful through and through.  As I read your story my heart really connected with yours.  I am a minister in central Illinois and that kinda' sums up what I do.  You have lighted on a great, ageless truth and I thank you for the way in which you are sharing it with the world.  You are special and I thank you very much.  WOW to you.

Thank you WOW for all the beautiful writings. I haven't read them all, but feel gratitude, already. "turn your light on"

Sounds like a GREAT idea, "Wishing Others Well", I'm going through a very rough time at the moment and wish I could turn the other cheek and wish this evil person well!!!  I'll try it!   Many thanks for the new insight...

I found your web site today. There are many things I could say about it, but I've found that often the best way to convey emotions is by using the least amount of words...so I say simply... thank you. :-)

Hi Carmen,   I just had to tell you how much I love your site and believe in the HEART of what you're doing. I have often been called naive for my views on our capacities to Love one another, to "wish each other well". The inspiration behind your starting WOW was very moving, and I couldn't help but wonder about the state of the world if we would all learn to diffuse anger and negativity in this way. It's one thing to avoid an ugly situation, quite another to look it in the eye and "wish it well" . . . but the rewards of the latter are immeasurable. The acts of Jesus, Ghandi, Buddha and many other Peace Teachers, all come to mind. I am on the staff of an independent bookstore in my town, and have been there for nearly six years. In that time, I have watched the patterns of popularity in books shift dramatically. If best-selling books can be used as an indicator of what that shift is, the current trends say a lot. The ART OF HAPPINESS, by his Holiness the Dalai Lama is a great example. Books on meditation, mindfulness, altruism, and believing in your GREATNESS as a human being. Connectedness: that We Are All Related ~ to each other and everything on this Earth. When I began my earnest search for spiritual truth in the 70.s, my loved ones thought I was using drugs. Now those same loved ones wear Angels pinned to their collars. The times are changing and I see the good in people being awakened. I have pondered the idea  a "Good News Letter for several years, and what you're doing is in perfect synch with my "vision", so I'm very happy to meet you! Please add my name to the WOW list!

Dianne Gibson, Pleasanton, California.

Hi Carmen, Congratulations for your courage and compassion!  Your site put a smile on my face and made my day. God bless people like yourself. My wish is that there would be more like you in the world and that everybody transform  their sorrow, their bitterness and their pain to joy by rising above their situation like you have and coming to the aid of others. It is truly the only place where joy, hope and love  is found. Keep up the good work! WOW from down the Hall!
