Speak out!Did you notice? It seems there are two ways to be immortal, to be remembered forever: one is by being a monster (Hitler), and the other by being a saint (Mother Teresa). Who will ever forget either one of them? You're probably thinking there are a lot more monsters out there than there are good people. But are you sure? How many real life everyday heroes do you know? Were they featured in the media lately? How about you...are you a monster? Did you ever do something good...something that helped someone, something or yourself? Did you make the headlines? Do you know that the crimes we hear about all the time are being committed by a very small fraction of the population? What does that mean? It means that the majority of people are good. The majority do heroic deeds every day that nobody hears about. Why? Because we hear about what less than 10 per cent of our population does, over and over again. The "news" is about hate, greed and fear. We hear about people getting assaulted and killed, wars in various countries, scandals everywhere, terrorism at large, diseases, economic disaster...I don't know about you, but that kind of stuff cuts my appetite, especially when it's served at dinnertime by my local anchorperson. But it doesn't stop there...It's told and retold in a million ways until the next set of "news". As long as we think this is worthy of our attention, it will be there. You hear about all that...but what about the good stuff? Can it be that there is no good to report? Ok, so maybe the little things that matter to you individually are not meant for mass media coverage. But you know the weird thing? Good news doesn't have to be a small affair for it to be ignored by the media. Did you know, for example, that this year, 1998, for the first time ever, Earth Day was celebrated in Space! At the Mir Space Station there was a brief ceremony that included a special moment when the Peace Bell at the United Nations was rung as Spring began March 20 (2:55 p.m. in New York). Astronauts, Cosmonauts and people on Earth joined at that time in a brief dedication to be responsible Trustees of Earth. The Earth Magna Charta, as written by the Founder of Earth Day, Mr. John McConnell, was read on the Mir Space Station on Earth Day, March 20, 1998! How impressive is that? And yet, I bet you didn't hear about it. You can read all about it and become an Earth Trustee by visiting the Original Earth Day site at http://www.earthsite.org I don't know if you realize it, but the media siege we are under is like having rooms full of people being held hostage by a hologram. The power of the hologram is what the people give it. People can focus on the hologram, or on themselves and each other. They are free to shift the focus...to switch the channel...anytime. Do it...switch the channel! Get into a new mind wave...Wish Only Well. If less than 10 percent of the population can be heard, how can more than 90 percent not be heard? Speak out! Try something new... Are you tired of seeing, reading, hearing bad news? Switch off! Create your own world...Wish Only Well. Regardless of what's around you, be YOU...be WOW! How? When you are provoked, and you will be...THINK! Don't react automatically...you're not a programmed machine, are you? Does everyone know which buttons to push? Surprise them! The next time someone pushes your "freak out" button, wish them only well instead. You want to see fireworks? Look in their eyes when you say that! The most important part about WOW is that you think! Don't react...anyone can do that. You are WOW because you think before you do or say something. You ask yourself..."how would I feel if this happened to me?" When you look at everything through that particular view, everything changes. Don't kid yourself. You may think that Wishing Only Well is passive, but it's the greatest power and shield that you can have. You know that you are more than what you see, and that there are some things in life that simply cannot be escaped. What you wish will, one way or another, one day or another, come back to you. Your safest bet is to Wish Only Well. Save yourself...save the world...Be WOW! Carmen
